Hi
I’ve been given an old wooden tool box, and was wondering about some of the tools inside.
I was hoping that someone here might be able to help, I’ve attached a photo of some of the more tricky items, though I expect that most of the metal cut outs are templates, or angle-templates. The screws are what im most interested in, they are slotted wood screws that have been carefully modified by the addition of a circular of heart shaped disc at the top. They’ve been made well enough to be re-used. What are these?
If it helps the box also had a few panel pin hammers, a disston 70 dovetail saw, brass canisters, sash cord, and what I think are a few small slotted lathe chisels.
Any help identifying this stuff would be appreciated.
Thanks
