is having a Free Shipping deal using this code: BSRFREE
Here is the link where I found it:

It says it ends Feb. 28th. I used it to buy an 18″ bar of O1 steel and it worked. I think it’s restricted to small items (at least that’s what it said when I used it). I think you need to go through the checkout process to see if your item is shipped free.
Juan what exactly did you buy? Most of the steel I looked at was expensive. Maybe I was in the wrong place. Do you have a MSC part number?mmThanks
Chuck
I found McMaster-Carr to be cheaper even with shipping. I bought a piece of O1 Tool Steel 1/8″x1-1/2″x18″(L) for $23.00 including shipping.

I actually just bought a 1/2″ wide, 18″ long, 1/8″ thick bar to make some new plough plane irons:

It costs me 12.22 + tax.
They seem to have 3 types of O1. “Made in USA”, Made in USA” with an MSDS sheet, and Starrett. I noticed the dimensional tolerances were tighter with the non-MSDS stuff, so I can only conclude that having that paperwork raises the price a little?
Grerg: I should have shopped around. That piece you got from McMasterCarr seems like a good deal. Luckily, this time around MSC was the cheapest for my size, but I’ll keep them in mind next time.
