Wall cabinet finally ready for finish

    Wow, this has been a learning experience. I just wonder if this is one of the longer builds in Pauls collection. Its not perfect but i’m happy. Time for a lot of shellac! The carcass is pine. Drawer fronts and shelve fronts are walnut. Doors are maple and poplar. Its a hodge podge of different woods but its what I had.

    Looks great. Are you going to omit the cornice? That part was an especially good learning experience for me. Like you, I used some scrap in mine, too, but it’s just a tool cabinet, not going to hold the Queen’s china.

    I watched the cornice vid and it looked straight forward. I would have to make a round bottom plane or find one somewhere. One thing I do know is i’m terrible at tool making.lol
