    Does anyone have any feedback on these?
    They are going on sale tomorrow and curious if this is another Aldi find. (Waiting for the Chisels that supposedly will be available in early June)

    Alanbtx, the link in your message seems incomplete. I can’t look at the calipers. Not that I have any experience with Aldi calipers, though …

    I can say that I use my digital calipers all the time and would hate to be without them. Don’t think I’d care if they weren’t digital – I just need calipers.

    I love the digital measuring tools, especially for machine setup. However I ended up buying a dial caliper because the batteries never die and my eyes are too old to read a vernier. 🙂 I find I still use the calipers a lot with hand tool projects.

    I bet they are the same that Harbor Freight sells, and if so they are ok for woodworking. If I were working in a metal manufacturing or engineering shop, I would buy a more precision tool than these cheap knock offs, because the tolerances are much tighter. With that said, I have digital calipers from Harbor freight, so I can measure the variance in boards that I hand plane. I’m usually within 10-15 thousandths of an inch from corner to corner.. I *think* that is about as flat as any board will need to be in wood working.

    i’ve had a set of these from Aldi uk for about three years now and they have served me well i’ve not had anything to compare them against but i’ve never felt i have needed to, i did crack the glass on the front only last week as its very thin but apart from that worth having.
