Dean I think you must be getting me confused with someone else as I didn’t mention the York vise only the Eclipse and Record models. You are correct in what you say however, I wouldn’t recommend the York model.
I just bought the Eclipse as it happens but can’t say what I think of it until I build the bench! lol 🙂

No problem at all, it’s still good ad(vise)…..that’s a terrible joke-sorry 🙂
Paul actually wrote about them here https://paulsellers.com/2015/12/27339/ in answer to someone else having problems with them so I knew to stay clear.

Could you try wrapping some cloth or try putting a rubber grip on the handles?
