Hello – I am interested in purchasing Paul’s volume 1 and 2 videos and was wondering what some of the basic hand tools would be required to follow along with these two videos.

I’m new to woodworking and have some basic tools but am sure there are some basics (ie. spokeshaves) that are necessary to for the first video from what I’ve seen in the clips.

    Thanks!

I bought Paul’s book “Woodworking 1 & 2” for my son last year, as he’s currently apprenticing as a cabinetmaker and I’m a great believer in reading up on professional literature.  I found myself unable to put the book down and read it from cover to cover overnight.  I can highly recommend it as an excellent training resource and think my son is saving to buy the accompanying set of dvd’s for himself. 🙂

Like Gary, I read it from cover to cover like a gripping novel. My family thought I was a bit strange (but then they did before that, I think). a brilliant book IMHO

I to bought the Book, what an excellent well written book, and should be in every Wood workers Library IMHO.  I learned so much from this book and you will find once you start reading it, it is hard to put down.

I have not bought any DVD’s yet but plan to and of course this on – line  course is great.
