Tool Chest by manny
I used Ash since my mill had some at the ready, but I do not recommend anyone use ash for something like this and I will not in the future. Maybe I’ve become lazy from working with walnut and 1/4 sawn white oak in past projects, but this ash was very very difficult to work. It tended to splinter easily when cutting, and tearout was a constant problem when thinning down and smoothing stock (Even though my tools are very sharp and of great quality). Yet a very fun project and I learned a lot from the different joints, especially the half dovetails for the drawers. Great for experience with door and drawer making and fitting. Thank you Paul!
