Just had Paul’s Working Wood 1 & 2 book drop through the door and after a bit of skimming through I noticed in the last page it mentions book 3? does this book exist yet? if not will it be published soon? does anyone have a clue?
Just a word on the Book 1&2, its great quality and covers all the techniques that Paul has so far demonstrated in the this master class series. I can see me spending several enjoyable hours pouring over this book, cover to cover. I may then get the accompanying DVD’s as well.

I also have Paul’s book 1 & 2 I do believe Paul is working on a book at the present time.
I asked Paul before signing up here about working wood 3. If I remember correctly he said that working wood 3 will come since he loves making books but the release date is yet indefinite since he – as we can see – puts a lot of effort in the online broadcast. And I think the book is not planned with accompanying dvds this time. But this info is two months old and maybe things have changed.
48 hours until the next episode 😉
By the way, those DVDs are great but be careful not to watch all of them in one day!

Get the DVDs !!!!!
They did a great job in the production of the DVDs. I cannot tell you how many times I have watched them and I don’t get tired of watching them either. It is one thing to read about the techniques in the book. It is another to actually do them. Along that line, it most definitely helps to see them being done. While there is no substitute for practical experience, watching is much better than reading. To that end, view this attachment and think about what it means. I am an accountant and teach business and photography. I apply this concept – “Cone of Learning”, Edgar Dale, 1969 – to my teaching and to my own personal learning. It increases the learning curve exponentially.
Hope it helps,
Jim

Paul will definitely be publishing more books and presenting other DVDs in the near(ish) future. However, he will not be continuing the ‘Working Wood Series’ (i.e. he won’t be coming out with a ‘Working Wood 3’).
Paul will be seeking a different publisher/production team for his future books/DVDs. This all takes time but hopefully it won’t be too long.
4 February 2013 at 9:40 pm #7425Oops, missed your post Rodney.
Paul just got back from the US (briefly) and we have not had time to fully decide. We do have a few choices (rocking chair, coffee table and some smaller projects). We’re just trying to work out how everyone is keeping up and whether everyone is up for a challenge!
If this takes us off this topic I will have to move it to a new thread.
4 February 2013 at 11:27 pm #7433I agree with Dave. The rocking chair would be my wish. Can you see I’m eager for a bigger project 🙂
Anonymous4 February 2013 at 11:52 pm #7441HaHa One day Rodney, but I don’t think it will be our next project buddy. 😉

So Jim, is that anything like the cone of silence from the Get Smart television show?
