Hat & Coat Stand: Episode 6

The hooks are critical to the appearance of the project, so making them identical becomes all the more important. Paul walks you through the process of layout, cutting and shaping, and then cuts the tenons ready for fitting. Paul enjoys thinking through this process and presents it so that we can head off any problems before we get to them. Tasks like this always lead to higher levels of confidence and prepare for other projects down the road. To finish off this episode, we radius the fronts edges of the shelves.
Dear Mr. Sellers, or can I say Paul?
Nice episode, but you blow the dust from sanding, rasping away. But you are often worry about wood dust when using machines like the band saw. I collect the dust after sanding, or rasping with a vacuum, would that a better way for you too?
Greetings from Germany
Falk
HiThe video says that Paul is going to provide the template for shaping the hooks. I cannot find the template
@hrhs The template is on page 4 of the pdf. Its given at 1:1 scale, but I think the pdf is formatted for a4 page, so you’ll have to be careful to print at 100% if using, say, letter size paper — do not “scale to fit”.
