Starting out in furniture making can be daunting for anyone new to hand tools. Still, this project approaches hand tools with the new-to-hand-tools woodworker in mind; wanting to expand their horizons. Paul designed it for simplicity and combined it with elegance to make a lightweight piece that compliments the bedside, but it could be at home in any room in your house. The legs are tapered and look as though they’re turned on a lathe, and yet they are made using the hand plane and spokeshave you most likely already have on your benchtop. Enjoy new beginnings with hand tools!
Looking forward to this one.
This should be fun!
Looks like a fun project. I could see doing a version of this with octagon legs that are tapered (narrower and top and thicker on the bottom). Can’t wait to watch it. I like how this bedroom has a completely different vibe than the others one.
I enjoy watching the ease with which Paul creates.
I need a small table to hold music books, capos and picks when I play guitar at church. This looks like exactly what I need. Can’t wait for the project to get posted. Thank you, sir!
do we have drawings for some of these projects yet?
