This is the introductory page for a paid video series. Want to watch more of this project? Select the best option below to get started.
Clocks always have a place in any home, no matter how many devices you have or what you have strapped to your wrist. They add decoration to any wall as well as warming endearment. Every woodworker’s home should have a handmade clock in it somewhere. Paul designed this wall clock to encourage your use of hand tools and to challenge you with the different elements it takes to make it. All the skills and techniques you will learn in this series can be adapted for many projects on your woodworking journey.
Can’t wait to build this.
I echo Bruce Lamb’s thoughts; I’ve been looking for a new project.
Thanks Paul, this looks like a lot of fun.
Awesome and timely since I’ve been wanting to make a clock for quite some time. Thanks Paul!
This one is isn’t going on my ToDo list.
It’s on my Do It.
Your ‘House Of Furniture’ series has been excellent and has revisited All of the fundamental skills you have taught over the years.
I personally already have my large pieces ( some shop bought some made).
This piece looks to combine precision “Joinery”, inlay and other techniques in a relatively small finished piece.
I’ve some antique Ebony piano keys that would turn down to make buttons to inlay into a darker wood but I like the ?brass.
perhaps a modern take on a ‘Grandmother’ size clock might look well in your House of Furniture ??
I was going to build your hanging drinks cabinet, but the wife said no. This clock will make a grand replacement and I will always know when it’s time to relax with a scotch from the bottle kept in a drawer.
Looks like my next project. Is a diagram available with a cut list and dimensions? Thanks!
