I bought the knurled brass nuts from a company called Albany County Fasteners on eBay. A bag of 25 for $11.25 with free shipping. The set screws and threaded rod along with 1/4×20 tap and the 8-32 tap for the set screws were bought at the local Ace Hardware and the O1 steel was bought on Amazon; a 1/8″ x 3/4″ x 18″ strip. If your local store doesn’t have the threaded rod, you can just take brass or steel machine bolts in that size and cut the heads off…..Amazon’s O1 steel was cheaper than eBay due to shipping charges. I emailed Bob at Logan Cabinet Shoppe and asked what angle to use on the blade. He said 25-30 degrees, but that it’s really not that critical. One word of caution: Don’t drill the holes for the set screws too close to the 1/4″ holes or the wood will break out in between (yes, I initially constructed a really nice piece of maple kindling!)
