https://www.toolsforworkingwood.com/store/dept/TD/item/MS-JB.XX has the Jennings pattern augur bits, which Paul prefers to the Irwin pattern. You can also get high-end sets at Lee Valley and probably a million other sites.
Cheapie sets are available on Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/Irwin-Tools-43697-Braced-Centre/dp/B001HWQKFE/ref=pd_sim_469_4?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1&refRID=YG60HJAJVMTZWYDTV8Z0
Keep in mind many augur bits such as you find at the home centers are intended for use with power tools, not braces. I don’t know how it would effect the work, just letting you know there are bits for hand braces and bits for power tools, and I don’t know how wise it is to use them outside their intended domain. Might be perfectly fine. Hopefully someone else can address this issue.
