Still available (as indicated in the video). Woodcraft has them among other places: http://www.woodcraft.com/search2/search.aspx?query=pinch%20dogs
Cannot vouch for the quality of the ones available at Woodcraft, if cast instead of forged, they will be rather weak and prone to breaking. I have three (wish I had more) vintage ones that are fun.
Tangentially, Charles Hayward’s “Woodworking Joints” is a worthwhile investment, especially if you can find a hardback edition for less than $50. The use of pinchdogs is covered there with respect to edge joining w/ hide glue as well as in “The Complete Woodworker”, edited by Bernard Jones and “The Practical Woodworker” also edited by Jones. Unfortunately, I only have the abridged editions (cheaply available as paperbacks) but still full of good information for handtool woodworking.
