Record 043’s are little beauties 🙂  Did you manage to buy one with single or double fence rods?  Two models were made and the second rod was a later addition to try and keep the 043 in balance with the 044 🙂

I’ve not tried a Veritas plough plane, but can imagine it’s well made and a good user plane. 🙂
