I think I’ve pretty much nailed it but I’ll let you be the judge. This has been a custom build hence the letter M scrolled. I actually like that letter but whoever’s seen it kept asking what does the M stand for. I’m looking forward in making this out of some decent timber which I’ll post it once it’s done, I’ll also make some storage drawers where you can place documents in that will go well with this organiser.

It’s a beautiful design. I think the “M” stands for “Marilyn”… 🙂
What are the dimensions?
Can’t wait to see the final product…Marilyn

The dimensions are 5/16″ x 6 3/4″ x 9″ and I used Red Ceder. The final build I will use Rosewood and and Black White Ash ( Cambria) which should give it a modern and more elegant look.Btw I covered it in Boiled Linseed oil and I got rid of the stench that linseed producers by adding citrus solvent rather than mineral turps. I now don’t use mineral turps for anything other than getting rid of glue. You should try it it’s 100% natural and smells great too. Just so you know oils ain’t oils, I have 3 different types that I use on different species, 100% Tung, Boiled Linseed and Kunos. It’s always trial and error but I first test on scrap before committing to 1 of the 3. Sometimes I’ll use shellac or wipe on poly it all depends on the level of sheen I’m after.
The letter stands for Mirko he is a fantastic woodworker and a machine addict (sigh) he just left the film industry. The last film he worked on is the latest pirates of the Caribbean, he showed me pictures of the ship’s window he built, I wish I could show it to you but you’ll have to wait till the movie comes out. Everything you see in the movie made out of wood he built it I’m glad he finally got out it was doing his head in. He’s going to start building furniture now out of pallets I know pallets! but that’s the latest craze now.
