I’m sorry to all for not being active in the forums, I still do not have proper access to the site. I’m not sure what’s being done about it, have they given up, are they still working to fix it I haven’t reeoved any confirmation yet to bring me some solace.
I really miss not being on the forum but it’s completely out of my hands.
On a happier note I bought some carving chisels (Pheil) on some recommendations I read about on sawmill. Hopefully they will me well and meet my needs. I’ve also placed orders on some rasps from LN. Yes this has been an expensive couple of weeks but you only buy once and the best.
8 September 2014 at 3:11 pm #68378Ithink you my have a problem on your end of the string. Iam not seeing many comments from others about problems? Of course the problem my be keeping them from. Have you tried to log on from another unit, and or location. I had a problem with wood central a few years ago, l loged on from my sons unit at his home( no problem) This led me to doing some digging and it turned out. The service from the cable co. Was messed up..
Frankj8 September 2014 at 7:27 pm #69343Hi Salko
I hope Joseph sorts out your problem soon I enjoy reading your posts8 September 2014 at 8:33 pm #69765Thanks David, I have tried to access the site from another computer using completely different internet service and it was the same deal. Joseph wrote I think last week to me or the week before not sure that it he experienced the same garble if he tried to access the site from New Zealand. So it seems us in the Pacific is having issues.
Are there any Aussies here experiencing problems with the site
9 September 2014 at 6:28 am #72678Good to know mate I’m not the only one. Websites are a tricky little bugger I never thought that certain websites aren’t compatible with certain countries. It was working fine before we had problems with uploading pictures, whatever they did to rectify it stuffed it up for us. This is where they need to look if they want to fix it.
The thing is it would be nice to get some confirmation that this is being addressed, I hate being in the dark here not knowing where we stand.
It is a strange look to the whole site – I thought that it might be just a Firefox compatibility issue but if all you other pacific-ites are having the same problem!! Having said that, the new download facility that I think that Joseph has just enabled in the last week or so is making it so much easier to download videos – I can forgive the site looking strange! Cheers MarkH in Brisbane, Australia.
9 September 2014 at 1:43 pm #74689But it’s not just about the videos Mark it’s about interaction with other members on the forum, looking at their work and uploading your own, getting feedback giving feedback etc.
Sure enough I love the videos but the forum is a very imporrtant aspect of this site.
10 September 2014 at 3:58 am #76773Hi salko
I think I found something you will like.
Go Norse Woodsmith then do a search for A Cool Idea. Or bench hook. The unit they
Show will need to be scaled up but it should do the job.
Do you want me to send a note to Joseph tell him to contact youFrankj
10 September 2014 at 5:44 am #77002That looks like a good site I’ve bookmarked for later viewing. I couldn’t find anything interesting in the shooting board search do you have a direct link to what you were refering too.
I’ve emailed Joseph and Resi several times after our initial email conversation. All I was told is when they tested the site through New Zealand they too received that garbled view, I’ve heard nothing since so I’m completely in the dark here and so are others. Frankly that’s not good business. Maybe they are working on it or maybe not but atleast I would like to be informed as to whether or not something is being done to rectify this.
Always good to hear from you mate, thans for tip on that website I’m looking forward in reading through it tonight.
10 September 2014 at 12:14 pm #77386I’m based in Melbourne, Australia and just wanted to add my name to the list of people unable to properly view the website.
If the web administrator is listening the problem is most likely with the hotlinks setup under your host site cPanel configuration.
The site is barely usable and this problem seems to have started about a week ago.
Hope we can get an update on the issue soon.13 September 2014 at 3:04 am #81969hooray thans for letting me know I did give up there for a while I’m so glad it’s back.
25 September 2014 at 3:10 pm #118491I hope this is in time to help. I’ve been having trouble with logging in for several days using Firefox. I kept getting a message that I was using the wrong username or password. I tried resetting the password but the error persisted.
This morning I deleted all saved passwords for the masterclass site (there were 4 of them I believe) and then deleted all related cookies. Then I reset my password again. Finally I was logged onto the site.
If you haven’t done any of this before I strongly urge you to have someone help you. You can selectively delete passwords and cookies from most browsers (all as far as I know) but if you delete all, which is easier, it can have far reaching consequences.
Good luck and see you soon.
John
