Now, over to you!
Baby’s Cot (Crib) by John A. Thomas
This white oak crib is for my grand daughter. We followed Paul’s design with the exception of slats at the crib ends as well as on the sides. Weighs, well, a lot. No worries about stability! General Finishes Gray gel stain with several coats of satin poly to finish per our customer’s (ie our daughter’s) request. Thank you Paul for the design and instructions!

First grandchild on the way so thought I’d give this a go. First project with hardwood. Don’t look too close
Baby’s Cot by Colby Campbell
Made from cherry. I changed the gaps and size from Paul’s to fit local laws and mattress size (Washington State, USA). Very fun project!

First Grandchild’s Crib: Inspired by Paul’s own offering, it is made mainly of solid poplar, all Mortice and Tenon joints, groves plough planed, and finished in white paint. Tools used tendon saw, cross but saw, plough plane, spoke shave, chisels and clamps. End panels fixed to front and back panel with recessed threaded inserts and flat head allen bolts
Baby’s Cot by Andrew Scott
Made with New Guinea Rosewood (Pterocarpus indicus) finished with three coats of clear gloss polyurethane. The base was stiffened with two lengths of rosewood screwed edge on, and had two hand holes at each end for easy insertion and removal.
Baby’s Cot/Crib by Curt Ruhlman
A straight leg version of Paul’s Baby Cot. The mom to be asked for straight lines. In all other respects it is Paul’s design. It is birch throughout with a simple shellac finish. This is my first major furniture project. I thoroughly enjoyed the experience.

while the basic design and construction follows Paul’s, I have redesigned the ends to have a half ply panel instead of a full one. this required and additional rail and slats. the top rail curved profile was taken from the corner post template. I have also included a slot to store an Allen Key to be available when the height if the cot needs changing.

crib in poplar, finished with water based polycrylic and food safe wax. specs adjusted for local regulations and mattress size
Baby’s Cot by David Fabijan
A cot made of black walnut, with decorative inlays of purple heart and holly. The design is based loosely on the plans from this website. Especially the ideas about how to make full length grooves for the rails and then fill them in, proved to be extremely useful.
