For inlay and stringing I use http://www.originalmarquetry.co.uk/page1.htm when not making my own. For box hardware I either use the Smart Hinge from Andrew Crawford http://smartboxmaker.com/ or Ian Hawthorne’s range http://www.jewelleryboxhardware.com/
I’ve only used the Neat Hinge once and I bought the older version as I was giving the box away. I did find there was a small amount of play in it, maybe 0.5mm but that can look a lot when you have inlay to line up. Perhaps his newer offering is better but I haven’t used it yet. I’ve used the Smart Hinge three times now and had very good results but he’s often out of stock although it looks like he’s almost on top of that problem now.
Personally I don’t like the Brusso range at all. The quadrant hinges are an absolute pain to fit and the butt hinges were really sloppy, very overpriced for what they are IMHO.
I’ve attached some pictures so you can see what they look like. The first is the Neat Hinge and the other two are the Smart Hinge.
I’m not associated with either maker, they’re just products I like.
I hope that’s of some help but if you need anything else just shout 🙂
Regards
Craig
