If the goal is to stick things together so they never come apart, There are two kinds of tape to look for.
The first is a type of double faced butyl tape that is often marketed as “servo tape” just google it. As sold, it is designed to hold hobby servos in place for model airplanes or boats. Once pressed into place, the only way to get the servo out is to destroy the connection with a sharp knife or wire and some heat. The stuff is incredible. Check your hobby shop for small quantities, but it is much cheaper online.
Here is one I have used, but there are dozens of co petting products.
The second is to look for products that conform to th ASTM 3359 standard. Sometimes this tape is used to bond aircraft panels.i used it to stick stainless steel to wood. Never had a call-back.
Some product I have used are Permacel p99 and P50, and 3M 730.
Unfortunately, these no longer are made, but a product that claims to conform is Elcometer 99.

The important thing is the standard.
I think, but cannot confirm, that Gorilla brand transfer film meets the standard. It keeps popping up when I google the standard.
