No, the saw plate is slightly thicker on the tooth line, and ground thinner on the back edge, to give more clearance in the kerf, and it also makes the saw feel better balanced and less top heavy.
All the teeth would have the same set, I have seen “taper ground thin to back” on some saws. Groves were more economical with their
engraving I guess.
