What does this writing mean on a saw plate?

Could it mean that where the inscription is, that side goes to the back when sharpening the saw? I’ve never seen this before.
I research family history, so have seen my share of old documents.
I don’t think the first word is “This”, compare the letters to others, the last one is not an “s” in my view.
Also no sign of a “k” for “Bac”.
I’d guess at some kind of biblical (?) quote. It does not look like a manufacturer inscription.

No, the saw plate is slightly thicker on the tooth line, and ground thinner on the back edge, to give more clearance in the kerf, and it also makes the saw feel better balanced and less top heavy.
All the teeth would have the same set, I have seen “taper ground thin to back” on some saws. Groves were more economical with their
engraving I guess.
