I have a beautiful old hand brace that belonged to my grandfather I’d like to continue using. The problem is that its a 2 jaw brace & I can only find bits for a 3 jaw brace.
Does anyone know of someone who still makes square shank bits or an adaptor to use 3 jaw bits in a 2 jaw brace?
Thanks in advance,
Mike
Hello Mike,
I inherited a two jaw aswell so I bought an adapter from fine Dieter Schmid Fine Tools http://www.fine-tools.com/bohr1.htm which I use with short Auger bits. Feel secure and works well and relatively inexpensive.
Fine-tools is European based but I’m sure you could find similar.
