I’ve always liked Japanese saws except for the slippery handles that make them difficult to hang on to. I got this saw almost by accident (wanted to try the kit it came with) and it has rapidly become my go to saw for everything from cutting dovetails to sawing 2x lumber to length.
Because its so much easier to grip it allows me to focus on the cutting. And it goes through wood smoothly and quickly.
