Is it possible to order them, there are no Aldis around here. I live in Lafayette, LA, thanks, Kirk
I saw them at my Aldi by, but didn’t buy them. If they are still there and go on sale I might pick up a set
@zabo. I don’t think ordering them online is an option. I wonder if these chisels are the same chisels sold at Harbor Freight. I can’t imagine there are to many chisel manufactures left in the world that would sell private labels.9 June 2015 at 5:16 pm #127630Jeremy, Thanks for the e-mail, My mailing add is 232 Hornsby Rd, Lafayette, Louisiana. Thanks KirkGuys,
the Harbor Freight set made by “Pittsburgh” or “Windsor Design” are not the same as the ALDI chisels. The Harbor Freight set are the worst attempts at a tool that I have seen. Bad grinding, misshapen, the handles are seemingly made of balsa.
The ALDI chisels are decent for the price. I just sharpened up mine. The grinding was a little rough on them too, but I sanded them until they were a little nicer. The backs didn’t need too much to get them flat. I love the handles though.
10 June 2015 at 5:11 am #127638My parents picked me up a set in Wisconsin and are supposed to be shipping them out. I have got to try these out!
14 June 2015 at 8:05 am #127743They sell out as fast as Aldi staff put them into the bins. I stopped at four Aldi stores last week and snagged one set. I have yet to work them up, so I can’t comment. I was driving so much that the fuel cost was starting to cut into the discounted price, and then rear-ended this poor lady trying to understand what the GPS was trying to tell me.
No one was hurt (anything you walk away from is OK). But the cost of the chisels skyrocketed from US$6.99 to include fuel cost and a $500 deductible for both our bumpers.
Ah, well. The chisels look very nice.[attachment file=”2005 T&C 5-3-2015.JPG”]

18 June 2015 at 2:55 pm #127887They don’t carry them here in Texas yet, which I am surprised. Anyone willing to sell me a set?
18 June 2015 at 3:11 pm #127888I’ll go to Aldi this weekend and check if they have them. If they do I will buy a set for you.
24 June 2015 at 3:14 pm #127996They told me the other day here in the US that they might get more, but it was a special deal. I would say it was the same for you in the UK. The do seem to be nice chisel even though the ones here where made in China.
