Welcome! / Forums / General Woodworking Discussions / Another Small Project
I found some old pieces of pine that had been thrown out over the weekend. So I took a brake from my bench build and this was the result.
Once again apologies for the pic quality guys. It was terrible wood to work, bits braking off every time I touched Β it, but it was good practice π
Cheers
Ken
Very nice, Ken! I need to find somewhere in the UK to get some good quality hinges from.
George.
Thanks George, yeah hinges are a problem buddy, I find they are to wide most of the time.
Very nicely pulled together Ken π

Thanks Gary, that site looks very promising thanks for the link buddy π
Isaac Lord (The second link) probably has more of what interests you Ken π
Thanks for the links, Gary. Will have a look through and pick a few out. It puzzles me why they don’t show the leaf size, seeing as that’s the part that attaches to the item being hinged.
George.
unico show that info George. Example
Description:
A=51mm
B=28mm
Thickness=2mm
Screw Size=3mm Csk
Sorry, Ken. I meant the width of one leaf – it’s less than half the total width. That’s the part that gets screwed to the box so, to me, it’s important to know that your stock is wider than the leaf.
George.
Ok with you George, the hinges on the box I just made, the leaf was wider than the stock. So yes it would be very helpful
