Saweeeet!! Something tells me Paul might be a little jealous. If you don’t already know, it might be time to learn to sharpen those bad boys. Have fun!
21 August 2015 at 7:45 pm #129609Holy crap: I’m not going to sharpen them! I’m just going to look at them!… Only joking. I might get some old beat up saws to practice on first. Or more likely send them back to Shane.

Frankj22 August 2015 at 2:04 pm #129628Beautiful saws, I hope they’ll be getting a lot of use.
For every great craftsman to survive, he relies on people recognising the value of his goods and being prepared to pay for them. You’re on one end of that relationship today, another time you’ll be on the other.

Shane and his wife Jaq not only offer world class saws they are delightful people to deal with. Certainly aren’t cheap but considering the quality and time it takes him to make them he’s practically giving them away.
Previously I owned some Lie Nielsen saws. They weren’t great at all. Two of them had to go back because the blades were twisted and out of plumb. When you put them side by side with the Skeltons they looked and felt like landfill; certainly not “heirloom” quality, to which they attest. It sort of put me off buying any more LN stuff really.22 August 2015 at 7:08 pm #129631Those are some nice looking saws, definitely! Why aren’t they covered in saw dust yet? Get cutting! 🙂
