It has taken a looong time to get this far, but I am beginning to see the end of this project now.
Really looking forward to it too, since I have no place to store my tools.It is not completely according to Paul’s plans, but I am still pleased with how it’s coming along.
That is definitely a good start. It will make a good place to store your tools. I do have to ask though, since you dovetailed the skirt, why did you go with a nailed carcass?
The carcass is rabetted, glued and nailed. I built it that way because it was simpler (and I messed up a few attempts at using dovetails). Since I really wanted some dovetails on it, I decided to make the skirt that way. A little bit easier than the whole carcass.
I actually had a good run in the “shop” last night, so now it is almost finished. I will post a picture of it when painted and filled with my stuff 🙂
