Interesting video from 1912 at a known french school of woodworking.
From 5’40 we can see the technique used for a tenon. At 5’55 the student uses i think a saw which looks like a plane.
Thanks for posting. That’s fascinating. A lot of skill showed there and some time honoured techniques that WWMC fans would recognise.
Also some more unusual things including:
Slightly different mortice chisel technique, levering with the bevel toward himself.
The Horizontal saw plane thing that looked a bit like a giant kerfing plane. Now I want one.
Terrifying spindle moulder looking thing. Don’t want one, thanks.
