Until this year we used to buy potted trees for Christmas to plant them in the garden after the festive season is over. We don’t have enough space for the next spruce in the garden, so this year we got one that has been cut down from a plantation. However one key piece of equipment was missing – the stand. I wasn’t keen on supporting thermoplastics industry for this and wanted something nicer.
The stand was built to fit a tree trunk of 60mm in diameter (proven to be too small as the pictures show) and the whole stand fits inside a 700mm diameter circle – very stable and an appropriate fit for a 2,5m high tree. Total height is 60mm, material thickness about 22mm.
