This might be an interesting read if you need a new low cost vise.

That’s pretty cool.
Don’t be sucked in by the appeal…I made an entire bench around vises of this design and hated it. It’s very inconvenient, and doesn’t work nearly as well as you would think. After that experience the only one of the 3 that even tempts me is the moxon vise, mostly because I would like to have one but am not too interested in buying or building the wood tap and die for a one off project such as the large wooden screws found in the traditional one.
