It is made out of maple. It holds approximately 1 tablespoon leveled. I did not plan that, it just finished up that way.
The hour glass shape handle turned out to be more challenging than expected. It is probably because it is so short. The entire scoop is less than 5 inches long. It is approximately 1 3/4 inches wide.
John, that’s a nice little scoop. I need to invest in some gouges for this kind of work. I have many little scraps of wood like this. It’s a shame to toss them out. Nice work!

John, I made one of those today. That little booger is hard to hang onto and work with sharp tools. 🙂
