Welcome! / Forums / Project Series / Wallclock / Denise's First Clock
Do any of you get as excited as I do when finishing one of the projects? I feel like a kid wanting to show off a new trick I can do. This clock both challenged me and made me confident to try more complex projects. I’m sure I’ll build another soon so that I can fully learn the lessons of the clock.
If you’re on the sideline and not yet sure where to begin with building, just jump in and try. If I can do this, all of you can too. Paul’s teaching is excellent and the support of the woodworkers in the forum is outstanding. Thank you @paul and my new woodworking friends.
All the tips on avoiding my problems with the router I think are spot on. I’ll take smaller a shaving next time and try reversing the direction of the blade. I also have a double skew blade that may work better.
I do Denise, every time, isn’t it great!
Your latest looks really good, what do you call it? A weather machine? I hope you can predict an early spring!
Looks great Denise Well done , does it tell the time perhaps it should be called Denise’s First Weather Machine
That turned out great Denise! Proportions look just right. 🙂
I’m always excited when I finally get a project completed. During the project I’m never sure its going to turn out like I have planned. When it does, I’m always surprised, then relieved and then excited to show someone. Thats what I like about this forum, we can share our work with others who understand what it takes to build something with your own two hands.
Really nice work Denise. I really like that a lot.
I too go though a really excited time just after a project is completed; mind you, I tend to then go through a bit of a low until I have another project to start on. I trust your efforts will be given pride of place in a room somewhere?
That’s really nice Denise finished so well, very accurate work. As you know Ive had my first attempt and now I realize how tricky the paneling can be lol.
You have excelled.
