hi all this is mostly for the Uk members but open to anyone ,have any of the uk members bought from Dieter smidt, and if you have how was it, i’m after a sf 8×3 eze lap but no one in the uk has any, i can get it from germany and with almost £10 delivery its still cheaper than any uk suppliers are offering (if they had one).

I got stuff from Fine Tools Dieter Smidt and would recommend them. Shipping was about €9 to Ireland, full tracking online system and delivered using the DHL (post) system. I have spoken to them on the phone, e-mailed them etc. Highly recommend them.
Regards,
JohnI bought a set of eze-lap plates and small hones.
One of the plates was not in stock, but I knew that when I ordered.
The first batch was delivered promptly, well packed. The out of stock item arrived a couple of weeks later, without any need for me to prompt them.Very satisfied.

11 January 2015 at 11:43 pm #123417I also bought my eze-lap diamond stones 8 x 3 from Dieter Schmidt. I agree with Wesley, John and Geoff… it’s an excellent service and got them a few days later. They sell several kinds of diamond stones with a good explanation of the properties.

Belgium12 January 2015 at 8:45 pm #123443thanks everyone i’ve ordered and they dispatched within about two hours.
22 January 2015 at 9:47 pm #123800As good as Dieter Schmidt but sometimes cheaper is the more than tools side. I have ordered from both regularly and their service is excellent.
Eddy, you’re going to love those plates. Don’t be surprised if they feel a bit rougher to the touch when you first receive them. That wears off in a very short time and they feel smoother though they abrade just as well. I don’t believe I’ll ever go back to the hassle of constantly flattening waterstones. Don’t forget to pick up the glass cleaner.
23 January 2015 at 2:30 pm #123815thanks Gary ive got my spary cleaner i used it with my Trend fast track sharpener that is now sitting gathering dust.
