I’ve just beefed my one up. Laminated some 4×2″ together and put a 5×1 1/4″ apron around with a big single dovetail on each corner not come out to my satisfaction bit loose fitting, wish I had done 2 tails at least . Still need to glue up. bench only small 60″x 21″

Fitted my old record quick release Vise and I have also fitted another vise other end of bench. I need to get a 1″ 1/8 dowel for handle. Wish I had room for a lathe.

Danish oil sounds good will get some.

    Thanks Ken

Slathered mine with danish oil as well.  Every time it starts to look a little dry I give it another coat.

Boiled linseed oil on mine,  keeps glue from sticking to it 🙂

Got home from work earlier today fixed my Apron and fitted timber to vises. Bench still feels a little low so may have to put blocks under legs. Also got to drill some dog holes.

Going to order some Danish Oil 🙂

It’s sounding good Mark. Yeah I need to drill dog holes in my top also.

Yep need to put a row in and  one will go opposite vise as I have dog in vise be handy for wider boards. I may also put some holes along apron same level as vise screw to support longer pieces. Clamping pressure from that old vise may not be needed. would be nice to get a hold fast but not got room under top as shelf pretty close and that where my Planes sit.
