I bought this tool at a flee market for the large sum of 3 euro. I do not know what it is used for, nor did the seller. My guess is that it is for making a grove, possibly on the inside of barrels for adding the top/bottom lids.
Hi Magnus, from the look of it, it could be an old tarabiscot. something in between the plane and the scrapper to create a small transitional recess between 2 moldings. Could you post a picture of its profile?
