I’m building this sofa table for my wife. Not sure yet what finish I’ll use, but it’ll probably be black…maybe milk paint.
She’s not a wood worker, but insists that I ask Paul (the master) for his opinion on what style drawer pulls she should buy for the three drawers. The drawers will have rebbeted dovetails. The drawer fronts will overlap the openings in the apron by about a 1/2 inch, and will have a simple routed decorative edge, as will the top of the table.
I showed her Internet sights where she could see thousands of them to pick from, however she insists on my trying to get Paul’s opinion.

Thank you, David. I’ll use half blind dovetail joints for the ash wood drawer runners, and fit them along the bottom edges of the apron.
Well, I didn’t use dovetail joints after all. I ended up making shallow mortise and tenon joints on the front rail, and dowels on the back. Not as nice, but still strong.
