my old vintage Stanley”prefect condition” arrived today from ebay with a crack in the casting and the frog in two. i honestly believe it was sound prior to postage however the manner in which it was packed was totally inadequate to prevent damage .use e.bay all the time and 99% of the time i’m very happy. do sellers not understand that these are delicate pieces of equipment. win some lose some i suppose

15 August 2013 at 10:58 am #16600Ouch I hate to see stuff like this, I know UPS here in the States has been catching a lot of flack with the way they handle packages.
Having said that though the seller should also take care in the way he or she packages as well.
