I went to a local flea market here in Kentucky, and I bought a few tools from the vendor. I spent about $20 US for some assorted items. I almost didn’t pick up this little rusty plane iron. I figured that I could find a use for a 2 inch wide iron sometime, so I bought it as well. I think I paid about $2 for this one. I cleaned a bit of the rust off and found a bit of a surprise stamped on it. Can anyone help me identify it?

Are the same as my Stanley 202, my other Stanley blades have different stampings on them.
So I would bet on the Stanley sweet hart 202

Patricks blood and gore has some pretty good info on stanley stuff, plus his personal insights kind of crack me up. Just find your plane series at the bottom of the page. If only they had just as in depth site on Sargent planes, which i think is my preference. But yeah, 220’s ran from 1898-1984…the sweetheart era was 1919-1932
