Anyone looking a decent set of chisels, the Stanley 750 chisels seem to be on sale. I posted the link below. Normally about $150.00-$175.00 on Amazon.

I use these in my workshop. They are the socket type chisels. I’ve been using them for about a year and haven’t had any problems with them coming loose.
The handles are shorter than most chisels, which some may not like. They are about 3.5″ long which I can fully grip in the palm of my hand. I like to grip the chisel at the top of the socket when chopping mortises and such so it only leaves about 1/2″ exposed at the top of the handle.
Like any chisel you buy, you will want to sharpen and make sure the backs are flattened. Don’t stick with the factory “default” of a sharpened and flat chisel.
Happy Woodworking.
24 January 2020 at 7:42 am #646148I was just about to order a set for my son as I own a set myself and love them but it didn’t feel right so I did a quick google for Whalegot and found this; https://www.onlinethreatalerts.com/article/2019/12/10/is-whalegot-a-scam-or-an-untrustworthy-store/
At a third of the price I thought it too good to be true and seems like it is.
I do agree with you however that they are a great set of chisels and I highly recommend them.

Craig

Whalegot website says it’s from Lafayette, Indiana so I figured they might be legit but according to the reviews they are a scam.
Just when I thought they were offering a deal.
