I just wanted to say thank you Paul for giving me an opportunity to learn from you. As you already know my grandfather whom I’ve never had the pleasure to have met died just after the second world war, he too had a large cabinet shop with many workers and apprentices and taught woodworking at schools as well. The only two machines he had in his shop were a bandsaw and thickness planer and yet he managed to produce furniture and export it throughout Europe. I often wondered where this passion for woodworking came from till my mother told me, I’m self taught but I wish I had him around to have taught me. I have been searching for a true craftsman for many years until I found you.
As I watch you work I’ve seen real eveveryday woodworking there is no suagr coating about it, there is no favouritism towards a tool maker or brand name, nothing is being avoided said and no lengthy text book lectures are being preached either. You care that is the thing you actually care about this craft because you love it just like we all do, you devote your time in bringing us this knowledge, you took an apprenctice under your wings which no one on the net who teach online and in schools have done. You have placed a low online fee which has made it affordable for anyone who wants to learn how to work wood which no one on the net has done (admorable absolutely admorable). It’s not about profiteering for you but it’s all about teaching and keeping this craft alive. I watch your videos with full attention making sure I don’t skip any part regardless whether I know how to do it or not because I never know what you may do or say I never heard or learned before.
I can’t speak for all but only for myself your an inspiration to me, your the kind of teacher a student can admire, respect and eager to learn from.
Thank you once more Paul your abilities are outstanding, your work is outstanding and your method of teaching is outstanding and for those of you who have the pleasure of being taught face to face by Paul you are the luckiest of us all.
Take care and God Bless.
Hear, hear Salko. I’ve tried several times to write such a post myself and always ended up pressing delete because I was not really typing what I wanted to say. So thank you to you sir for expressing in a far more eloquent way something I’ve been wanting at say to Paul too.

22 June 2014 at 8:21 am #58719There’s no need to say anything Paul its all from the heart it’s what we all feel as you can see through the above posts and I’m sure if more people read this others would write the same.
I am very much looking forward in what ever you have planned next for us I am yet to complete many of your projects already available on the site.
Happy shavings to all!
