Hello friends,
I didn’t know it was customary to introduce oneself here, so I figured to make good for it now.
I’m rather new to woodworking. A few weeks ago I started to watch a bunch of youtube videos to get an idea of tools and techniques and inevitably ended up watching Paul’s instructive and ingenious videos. So I digged up what few, old tools I could find (some chisels used for anything but chiseling, a wooden plane, …) and tried to make a mortise and tenon joint and a dovetail one. The latter was not nice to do since I used glulam (?) and I made minimal sized pins, but it did work. I won’t bore you with what tools I gathered by now, suffice it to say that I will need to build this tool chest very soon. And a lot of practice.
My latest project will get a separate post in projects.
That’s it for now. I am looking forward to being part of this community here.
Sharp tools!
