I intend to be a long-time member here after years of admiring Paul and Josephs work so I thought I’d introduce myself.
I’m Max and I’m new to the forum but I’m hoping to learn a lot. I’ve worked in Joinery shops and Cabinet shops since I left school but recently I opened my own small joinery shop (aaahhh!!).
The funny thing is I used to be rather good with my hand tools but industry ruined me a bit and It’s taken me two staircases and two windows on my todd to step away from the power tools properly. I still use my thicknesser to dimension wood for speed, but I’m doing everything else by hand.
I hope I meet like minded people here that can show me new, safer and smarter ways to work.
Glad to be here really
Well hello to you its a nice pool jump in ,
The group on the board are from all around the world and they do try to help each other learn and share there little bit of the world. Some are young and some wish thy where some don’t know a hammer from a what ever but they all try and help each other some like you and I have forgotten what we learned. But most important we all are having fun doing real wood work.
Welcome and enjoy
