Hi there, first time poster 🙂

I’m wondering if anyone might be able to point me in the right direction for some instruction and general help with the use of router planes. I’ve just bought a Stanley #71 from a second hand dealer and it’s all in good nick but I presume I need to sharpen it. Only trouble is I don’t really know how to sharpen it, or how it goes together 🙂 Or, ah, how to actually adjust it and use it properly.

I’d love to see Paul do an episode on this, but in the meantime, is there anywhere you’d recommend to help me out with this subject?

    thanks!

Hey Lee Welcome to the forum!

I hate to be predictable but I think this is your best bet: http://paulsellers.com/2012/11/buying-good-tools-cheap-the-router-plane/

If you still need further help don’t hesitate to ask.
