Hi everyone
Just a quick tip to those needing a quick plough plane, make Paul’s rebate plane with the size chisel that you need the groove to be and then make the fence so that it moves far back away from the blade, so there is space between the side of the fence and the chisel.
You have to keep hammering the chisel to get a deeper cut but overall it doesn’t work too bad at all.
About 5-6mm is as far as I went because I only needed grooves for inlays.
You can make it as deep as you can hammer your chisel though.
Only thing is that its hard to keep the thing square but that’s probably more my technique because I have that problem on my rebate plane too xD
