It looks like it will be a nice show. You better leave your credit card at home.8 August 2013 at 8:54 am #16347[quote quote=16345]I would love to go, itβs about 4840 miles for me!<br>

That’s why the other half is coming. π8 August 2013 at 9:38 am #16349I went last year – it’s a good show! It’s great to be able to potter about and chat with much more experienced woodworkers. I got some sawing tips from David Charlesworth, spoke with Thomas Lie-Nielsen about saws and other tools, discussed sharpening with the folks from Classic Hand Tools, and loads more. Chris Schwarz is there this year, I think.
You’ll have a great time, Mark. My only tip is to get there early if you’re going on the first day – there are old tool vendors there and you want to get in first before all the good stuff goes!
I’d be going again in September but managed to get on Paul’s nine day course at the castle, which starts on the Saturday. Very excited!
George.
8 August 2013 at 11:26 am #16350just looked @ the website its gonna be a good weekend by the looks of it at Β£12 for 2 days its gotta be the cheapest 2 days out its a pity its so far or i would go myself (well jel) lol
8 August 2013 at 9:35 pm #16363I,m pretty much sorted in the tool department. So hopefully I will not spend on tools.
I’m more excited about seeing some masters showing their stuff.
I would be quite interested in veneers, banding, stringing so I can add something to what I make.
George I wanted to go on course but my penny’s would not stretch that far. May be next year.I’m also hoping to get to this if I manage to get the weekend off work. A bit of a trek from the Chester area but I think it will be worth it. The demonstrations look good and it will be a good chance to see if David Savage is as eccentric in real life as he comes across in his writing π
