I read them when I pass by… 😉
I agree – it is surprising that Paul’s team did not list the measurements for the bookcase in imperial. There is usually a bias toward imperial, or an equal measure of both. The toolbox was done only in imperial, so maybe they are compensating with the bookcase. 😉
I always use a simple math when converting metric measurements in my head: Divide the millimeters by 100, then multiply by 4. For example: 830mm/100 = 8.3. 8.3 x 4 = 33.2″. Close enough for me.
You can also google “convert 830mm to inches” and the google conversion calculator it will give you a more precise amount, which is 33.67″.
Hope that helps,

12 February 2014 at 10:25 am #27743Hi @sherbin18,
I am working on this at the moment, has been a busy few weeks at the workshop. Sorry for the delay. In the mean time, you may find this page of use, as it is what I use when converting mm to inch fractions:
I try to read through the latest forum posts at least once a week. We are quite a small team and the forums are growing by the day. If you post something that you specifically want the admin team to read, rather than it being for other forum members, you can make sure we are alerted of it by writing @admin in the post.
Hope that helps,
