Hi everyone
I’ve been making a few clamps, since the bigger ones cost me an arm and a leg. I haven’t seen those aluminum ones around here and shipment of any descent size ones would likely be another issue too…
And I want 12 of them……
So I thought why couldn’t I make some !
Here’s the result, I’d probably refine them a bit, maybe add some ferrule if I can find a suitable metal pipe.
I’ll be posting some more pics.
Diego

Hi Diego…
Very nice clamps…. unexpessive, and a good woorwork practice 🙂
But the greatest moment was when I saw that orange B&D. One of the best machines… lolol
litle story
My father had one. When it broke he send it to serviçe. Later He got a call asking him to go there in person. The manager did’t got repacement parts for it like 20 more years ago. So they gave my father a brand new one for free if he let them to keep the old one and send it to headquarters.I still have and use that drill press with my cord drill.
All the best
António
Thanks for the vote of confidence 🙂
It’ll have to be determined if they are truly up for the job, but they seem to work well so far.
Just a few more to go, then I can finally start building a bench.
@ant11samagaio: that b&d was an heirloom from my wife’s late grandfather. Judging on the manual dexterity in that family, it hasn’t seen much use….Diego
