Just finished making (5) of these game board sets. We will be giving these as Christmas gifts to the wife’s family. This game, particularly this board style, is a long standing tradition in her family. The original board was made by her great grandfather, long passed, and has been the only board in the family. Now each group will have their own board.
There is no complicated wood working in this. One center half lap joint which I had to force myself to make loose, the board is supposed to come apart after all. The divots were done with a 1″ ball router bit and an old cast off bench top drill press that I was given and was able to get working again. A kolrosing rosette in the center. Shellac and wax finish.
It feels good to help continue a family tradition.
Thanks for looking…
Thanks Ken…family is good, mostly…and can be found in many different forms my friend.
Dan, Barry thanks.
The game is a variation on the Aggravation board game.
