How do you mark all four sides of a piece of wood using a single reference face with a combination square? Seems impossible to me, but I thought I heard Paul saying to do that to make sure the lines are square. Seems like you are forced to reference your square against 2 faces minimum. If so, should it be the faces marked with the āfā and the up side down āVā?
Thanks
You are correct that you use the two marked surfaces because they are 90 degrees to each other if done properly
I guess I did misunderstand. I think it was in video three of the original workbench build video at around 2:30. But I might also have misunderstood in a lumber prep video. Regardless, I will reference the two marked faces and assume that is the best way to do it. Thanks!!
